There is an odds calculator onsite for starters. There is a poker school too which offers a vast archive of help from hand rankings through to probabilities and professional pointers. Refer a friend bonuses are also in operation here, and graphically I think the site looks very good. The lobby is tidy too, and there are lots of guaranteeds and freerolls to keep players happy too. Player traffic onsite is of a high enough standard to allow tables to fill quickly, and support are there to help you out with any problems 24/7 too.

The first time deposit bonus stands at 100% up to an amount of $500 which should help the new players get off to a good start onsite. Whether you are a cash player or a tournament player, you should find the type of table that suits you well enough, and there is a lot to like about CD Poker generally speaking I feel. Despite this, I feel that there could be a little more imagination put into promotions

. Whilst there are most of the usual bonuses available, special tournaments or promotions are lacking a little in my opinion. I still feel Cd Poker is a good poker room to play at however, even if I do think there is room for improvement.

www.cdpoker.com – These are tools which are offered by many online poker rooms, and are useful to players who are serious about the game. In terms of hand histories, they function in such a way as to allow you to see who won which hands, and usually, the cards you folded too. This is convenient, especially if you need a break and decide to sit out, then wishing to find out which cards were automatically folded in your absence. This of course is not helpful if you come back to find you missed hole cards of (A,A), but it is still nice to have it there when you need it.

PLAY NOW

The hand statistics are far more useful I feel, as these give you a clear picture of how often you were folding or raising, and at what point during the hand. If you have a good or bad session of play, examining these stats can give you an idea of why, and that is useful to improving your play. Other useful tools offered in online play include notes, which can be utilised for each player, eventually giving you a portfolio of the players you find at the tables most often. In this way, you can gather an archive of facts about what type of play works best for you, which players can cause your style of play difficulties, and how to react to that. Overall, these tools are something I will be trying to use more often myself, as I feel I have not put them to good use often enough in the past.

The best times I feel, to start getting involved in more hands are typically those when you have a better chance of picking up pots uncontested.

To Play Poker at cdpoker.com CLICK HERE

The first of these instances you should be exploiting, are when your table has lost a few players and the blinds are becoming sizeable. Especially if you have been playing conservatively, you can quickly make an addition of some blinds to your stack if you are being aggressive pre flop, and in late position.

This strategy is certainly one I like to use sometimes, but you have to be aware of the risks involved too. If you try this too many times you will get caught out.

Aside from this instance, if you are short stacked and the blinds are putting pressure on you, there is no room or time for sitting and getting blinded away to nothing. If I find myself in this position I will look to move all in preflop with some sort of hand. I particularly feel comfortable with suited connectors, if I don’t have a real premium hand to go in with. I do not like going all in with weak aces at all, or weak kings. I’d rather have (7,8) suited. Although that sounds like a crazy thing to say, try counting the amount of times you move all in whilst short stacked with a hand like (A,3), and the amount of times you are called by a bigger ace.

The fact is that if you go in with a weak king or ace, many of the hands that will call you, will have your hand dominated.

Remember though, if you have an excellent feel for when to step up a gear, and when to get away from a hand, there shouldn’t be too much time spent deliberating which hand to push a small stack in with anyway.

CD Poker offers a very reasonable first time cash match bonus of 100% to it’s new players, up to the value of $500. If you are new to online poker and thinking of signing up to CD Poker, there are several other good points to take into consideration too. ‘Poker School’ sections which can be reached from the sites homepage, offer new players an insight into how to play the various games on offer, and generally make getting started seem a lot less daunting.

To Play Poker at cdpoker.com CLICK HERE

Jackpot Sit n Go’s are also in operation on this site, and some extravagant guaranteed tournaments are planned for the near future too. One in particular boasts a prize pool of two and a half million dollars. satellites for this tournament and many other great land based ones are often available to ensure even those of lesser means have a chance at a larger prize.

CD Poker has helpful areas accessible from it’s site which cover many areas, from getting started and downloading, to tournament rules, current promotions and much more.

In terms of the play itself on CD Poker, I think the tables and feel of the rooms are good, although the avatars are a little bit limited in terms of choice. The lobby looks user friendly and well set out, and there are a great many good value tournaments on offer too.

Although CD poker does not allow U.S players, this is not something which can be helped really with the changes in U.S law. I have to say that overall I think CD Poker has all the ingredients to make a great poker site, and I am a little surprised that it’s player traffic isn’t right up there with the highest around. The help and support available is of an excellent standard for instance, bonuses and promotions are good and the site looks very nice. With this in mind, I am sure CD Poker will prosper as long as it keeps up these high standards.
